About the Project

We completed a chimney restoration project that focused on sealing and protecting a compromised chimney structure. The restoration began with the installation of a custom-beveled mortar crown, laid from the chimney flue to the edge of the block to ensure proper water runoff and prevent future deterioration.

To further reinforce the base, we installed custom-bent counter flashing—a crucial upgrade since the original flashing had been removed, leaving the step flashing beneath the shingles exposed. The new flashing creates a watertight seal and works in tandem with the existing step flashing to protect against leaks.

Finally, high-quality silicone sealant was applied in key transition points to complete the restoration and offer lasting durability against the elements.
