We recently completed a 5-square shingle roof replacement on the rear section of a home. The project began with the removal of the existing roofing materials, followed by a thorough inspection of the roof deck. Any damaged or compromised areas were repaired to provide a solid foundation for the new roof system.

Our team installed a complete GAF roofing system, starting with Deck Armor underlayment and Weather Watch ice and water shield, both of which provide critical moisture protection and long-term performance. New drip edge and GAF Pro-Start starter strips were installed to reinforce the perimeter of the roof.

We also installed step flashing to seal vulnerable transitions and ensure leak resistance. A new metal roof vent with a flashing kit was added and connected to the existing exhaust system to promote proper attic ventilation.

To finish, we installed GAF Timberline HDZ architectural shingles in Barkwood, using a 6-nail system for maximum wind resistance and durability. These shingles offer not only a dimensional, attractive look but also the strength to withstand the elements—backed by a 50-year product warranty and 25-year labor and material warranty.

This back roof section is now fully upgraded, well-protected, and ready for the seasons ahead.
