Charming Exteriors completed a full roof replacement project in Cherry Hill Township, New Jersey, including removal of the existing roofing materials and installation of a premium GAF roofing system. The project included roof deck inspection and repairs, updated flashing details, weather protection, architectural shingles, ventilation, and thorough cleanup.
The existing roofing materials were removed from the entire house to prepare the roof for the new system. After the tear-off, the roof deck was inspected for damaged areas and necessary repairs were completed to provide a solid foundation for the new roofing materials.
The project included two sheets of plywood for roof deck replacement, with additional decking addressed as needed with customer approval.
Several important details were addressed where the roof meets other exterior components. New step flashing and counter flashing were installed, while the siding was carefully addressed at the roof-to-siding connection.
A new downspout was also added to properly drain into the gutter system, helping improve water management around the roofline.
