For this project in Chichester, Pennsylvania, we completed a full garage door replacement along with structural repairs to the door frame. The existing system had sustained damage to both the door and the surrounding framing, affecting alignment, security, and overall operation.
To restore proper function and long-term reliability, our team replaced the entire door system and reinforced the supporting structure.
The project began with the removal of the existing damaged steel garage door and all related components. This included safely dismantling the door system to prepare the opening for new installation.
During removal, we identified additional issues with the framing that required correction before installing the new door.
To ensure a secure and properly aligned installation, we addressed the damaged and misaligned framing.
Our team:
Removed the damaged right-hand interior jamb
Corrected the crooked left-hand jamb
Installed new masonry-mounted 2×4 lumber on both uprights
Reinforcing the door opening with properly secured framing ensures the new garage door operates smoothly and remains structurally sound over time.
Once the framing was properly prepared, we installed a Clopay 4053 insulated steel garage door featuring a long panel design.
The new door includes:
6.5 R-value insulation for improved energy efficiency
Single-strength windows with Madison 611 inserts for added style and natural light
All necessary hardware and components for full system installation
An inside slide lock for added security
Proper installation ensures smooth operation, durability, and a clean finished appearance.
With the new garage door and reinforced framing in place, the system is now secure, properly aligned, and operating reliably.
This project restored both the structural integrity and functionality of the garage door opening while improving the overall appearance of the home.
